My Remembrance Day Chat with John Lennon, Part 1

by aurora north

On Remembrance Day, November 11, 2015, John Lennon decided to pop into my place for a chat with me. And I was just gobsmacked.

I had never tried to reach out and connect with John Lennon. This was not me trying to connect with his spirit during a channeling session. Quite frankly, the idea had never even entered my mind. He just decided he wanted to talk to ME and so he did.

It was Remembrance Day in Canada, also called Veterans Day in the U.S. Remembrance Day (sometimes known as Poppy Day) is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth of Nations member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

I had spent the early part of the day watching the Remembrance Day ceremonies on TV, which are held annually on this day at the War Memorial in Ottawa.

Lest we forget. My Remembrance Day Chat with John Lennon, Part 1. www.soulfultraveler.com.
A remembrance poppy from Canada, worn on the lapel of a men’s suit. In many Commonwealth countries, poppies are worn to commemorate soldiers who have died in war, with usage most common in the week leading up to Remembrance Day (and Anzac Day in Australia and New Zealand). The use of the poppy was inspired by the World War I poem In Flanders Fields, written by Canadian physician and Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae.
I got particularly emotional watching this year’s ceremonies.

Maybe because I was thinking about how 8 years ago during that day I was still reeling with the recent passing of my mom. My mom passed away in November 2007 and I usually feel sad on the anniversary of her passing, and sometimes the whole month of November is a sad time for me, because of that. I thought a lot about my mom, my sister & other departed loved ones during the TV program.

Unlike many people I know, there are no Canadian War Veterans in my family. Of course my dad and other relatives had done their obligatory military time in Italy.

But as I watched the Remembrance Day tributes on TV, I became very teary-eyed as I listened to the war stories, and looked at the weathered faces of those old, old men (yes there were mostly men shown) and the younger Veterans, feeling so much compassion for the sacrifice they made for ME and my fellow Canadians.

I also thought about Corporal Nathan Cirillo, who had literally given his life for his country at that very same Ottawa War Memorial, just a year ago, and I thought about the loved ones he had left behind.

After watching the TV until the ceremonies were over, I went to lie down and was kind of drowsy, when suddenly a spirit came knocking.

John Lennon Pops In To Say Hello

I suddenly saw a very sharp image of a man clairvoyantly in my mind. He had shaggy medium length brown hair, was wearing a khaki-coloured army jacket, with those iconic small glasses.

“Hi, I’m Lennon,” he said to me, with a smile.

Lennon? LENNON? Wait – you mean John Lennon?

He confirmed that he was indeed John Lennon and told me that he just dropped by because he wanted to tell me that he liked what I had said about peace.

Suddenly I was wide awake and felt overwhelmed with a range of thoughts and emotions.

What I said about peace? What did I say about peace? For a moment I was completely confused, and had no idea what he was talking about.

Now I would like to mention that this experience came to me with not just a simple chat in English, back and forth, but through my clairs in a multidimensional way, like a multi-layered download.

Like a movie unfolding, but not one scene at a time – but as if the whole movie was blasted into my mind, with one burst. Needless to say, suddenly my head was very full of data. This is partly how I experience Claircognizance. It’s a sudden inner knowing of information that just appears all at once.

Yes, my chat with John Lennon was trippy. And no, I do not do any drugs, and never have.

All I knew was that my adrenaline was on overdrive thanks to this visit from Spirit and I was buzzing!

So I then asked John, what did he want to say to me about peace? He told me that he was all about peace and then said something about that it all had to do with the Light. I got a strong impression from him then to go look up his song about peace. And then he started to leave!

I was still trying to grasp that I was talking to THE John Lennon and he was slipping away before I could understand everything.

He gave me another quick burst of information. Yes, he said with a laugh, that he knew all about my crazy Beatles phase, when I was in the sixth grade. He smiled as he laughed and then he was gone.

The whole experience felt just like I had just had a chat with a friend that popped in for a visit. Very ordinary, just two humans talking together, like it was an every day thing.

Oh boy. What just happened to me? I was just left there in shock, stunned by this most unexpected visit from Spirit. John Lennon? Wanted to talk to ME? About peace? What was up with that?!

So I resolved to do 2 things:

  1. Do some research.
  1. Connect back again with John Lennon, to get more answers about why he wanted to talk to me, and talk to me about peace, and ask him other questions about where he was and what he was up to now, on the Other Side.

And I did both. And I got answers to everything – and more than I even expected.

What I said About Peace

First, I tried to figure out what I had said about peace and where. And finally, it came to me.

During the two minutes of silence at 11:00 am, while I watched the Remembrance Day program on TV, I had stood up all alone in my living room, and had said a prayer. At the end of my prayer, I had prayed for world peace.

I prayed to God that we would have world peace. I asked that there would be peace in every single country on Earth. That we just would have peace EVERYWHERE. And I focused all of my heart and soul on that prayer for peace, as I prayed. I gave up all that hope up to God.

And that is where John Lennon heard me talk about Peace, in my prayer to God. John had heard my prayer for peace to God and wanted to let me know he liked what I said. WOW.

I felt excited and honoured and bewildered and happy and then some. It was just…awesome.

OK, got that piece solved, now to look into getting a few more answers to my questions:

Why was John Lennon wearing a khaki army jacket when he came to me?

Why did he choose to visit me on Remembrance Day?

What was it about a song he wrote about peace that was significant, that he wanted me to understand?

What was his full message about Peace and the Light? What was that about?

And what was he up to now on the Other Side?

So I decided to start with the mystery of the khaki army jacket. I had a vague recollection about seeing a picture of him wearing one, but didn’t know much about it.

My Beatle Crush

Here is a quick background on my connection to the Beatles in my own past.

Yes, I love Beatles music, although I don’t actually own any Beatles albums right now.

My boyfriend and I both enjoy listening to Beatles songs (he has many Beatles albums). We both love watching the movie “Across The Universe”, and sometimes we enjoy singing along to Beatles songs, as we are driving around in his car. “Baby you can drive my car, yes I’m going to be a star, baby you can drive my car and baby I love you. Beep beep oh yeahhhhhh…”

I went through a crazy Beatles phase when I was in the sixth grade, when my best friend and I really went gaga for Beatles music. We were twelve years old and like tweens or teenagers do when they fall for the same band, we each picked a favourite Beatle to fall in love with. My best friend picked Paul McCartney and I picked George Harrison, as I often liked to pick the Dark Horse kind. You know, not the first pick of crazy teenage fans. Somehow it made George all the more special to me. And I always thought the world didn’t fully realize how talented he was.

Our view on John Lennon? Well, it had only been about a year that John Lennon had left the world and it still felt fresh to both of us. So we viewed him with a kind of reverence, and it just felt wrong to pick him as a crush, because he had recently left our world.

So my best friend & I dedicated a whole year to our Beatle crushing. We would sit around my friend’s house listening to old Beatle 45s over and over and get all dreamy-eyed. We watched every Beatle TV movie we could and even enjoyed watching movies about Beatles fans trying to see and talk to their favourite Beatle. And we particularly liked the romantic early music of the Beatles, songs like “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and the like. We were so young and innocent. It was harmless fun. And that was what John Lennon was laughing at, and teasing me about, when he visited me this week.

John Lennon and His Army Jacket

Live in New York City album, John Lennon. My Remembrance Day Chat with John Lennon, Part 1. www.soulfultraveler.com.
Live in New York City is a posthumous live album by English rock musician John Lennon. It was prepared under the supervision of his widow, Yoko Ono, and released in 1986 as his second official live album, the first being Live Peace in Toronto 1969.

The John Lennon with the army jacket? I had to go look that up this week, to see why he decided to wear that to visit me.

And there he was, in a great article I found all about his army jacket, where it came from, and possible reasons for wearing it.

And that was EXACTLY how he looked when he appeared to me. Same jacket, same length of hair, glasses and look!

I discovered that his army jacket was the real deal. One story claimed that an army vet wrote to John Lennon to tell him he wanted to send him his old army clothes and did he want them? John Lennon wrote back, saying yes he did, and John got them in the mail. John Lennon liked them so much he wore the army jacket for awhile, and people wondered why he did. Other sources say that he just got the jacket at a Salvation Army. People think he might have worn the army jacket to show his rebellious side. I resolved that I would ask John Lennon why he wore the jacket when visiting me.

Give Peace A Chance

And now that little peace song that John Lennon wrote: “Give Peace A Chance”.

All we are saying is give peace a chance
All we are saying is give peace a chance
~ John Lennon

Who knows how many people in the entire world have heard his famous Peace anthem by now? John Lennon the Peace Activist is a well-known figure in history. And yes, this song shows he was all about peace and pro-peace.

That made sense that he wanted to illustrate his connection to peace to me. But I also found another significant connection to “Give Peace A Chance” for me, on a personal level. John Lennon & Yoko Ono recorded this song in Montreal, Canada – the city I was born in & have lived in all my life. John & Yoko recorded the song during their very first famous “bed-in” at Montreal’s Queen Elizabeth Hotel, a building I have walked in front of countless of times in my lifetime. Montreal and John Lennon. That was a special connection for him, and for me too.

I felt a great feeling of inner peace when I discovered that Montreal connection. THAT was what John had wanted ME to understand about his song about peace. My soul just went, “yes, that makes sense and feels right”. I was happy.

And then I decided I need to talk to John again, and get to the bottom of why he visited me on Remembrance Day.

So I opened a new channel to him and we had a great chat, where he answered all of my questions. He shared his thoughts with me about Remembrance Day, War, Peace, The Light, what life on the Other Side is like for him, Jesus, and what his message was to me & my audience.
